Please note that for the 2020 regattas and due to COVID-19:
Participation will be limited to Ontario residents. We are also strongly encouraging athletes from the GTA only as we
do not want competitors risking their family health and safety and that of others with a hotel stay.
Registration will be capped and will close the Wednesday prior to each regatta so that we can plan onsite social
distancing requirements properly. Registration and all waivers must be submitted online – no in-person registration or
waiver submission will be available.
Teams will be given separate spaces to rig and de-rig (with their teammates). It will be incumbent upon the teams to
ensure that athletes are 2m apart inside their respective spaces. We also ask everyone maintain 2m distance on both land
Spectators are welcome but cannot be in the same space as competitors – only registered coaches and approved
volunteers will be permitted to be in the competitor areas.
A face covering must always be worn while on land. Those who do not comply may be asked to leave the regatta
immediately. Note that all participants will receive a regatta souvenir of a UV protection buff.
While the competitor’s meeting will be held onsite on the first day of each regatta (with all participants asked to
maintain a 2m distance from each other), the awards ceremonies will take place the Monday evening after the regatta online.
Results will also only be available online. Details will be sent directly to registered competitors.
All athletes must provide their own coaching support. Their coach must register online (registration for coaches is
free). Those athletes who do not have a coach will be refused participation and their fees will be refunded. If your coach
is not from your club, please send an email to email@example.com to let the Organizing Committee know.
All athletes must bring their own sanitation supplies and will be expected to follow all sanitation procedures that
will be posted here soon.
