ABYC, like many clubs and marinas on the Great Lakes, is currently experiencing operational issues due to the high water. At this time the ABYC harbour is closed to visiting boats except in emergency. Please call on VHF 68 or 416 698-4498.

Watch this space for updates on club events, on-the water programs, facilities and all things impacted by the high water.

a bright yellow risk of electric shock warning triangle

Power is shut off on all fixed docks due to a shock hazard.

The mast crane was back in operation on May 21.  A new conduit has been installed and buried in gravel with some 2×4’s alongside as protection.  Members should be careful not to trip on the gravel (it’s kind of a hump/berm) and should not drive the mast dollys or other heavy things over it.

The ABYC regatta is going ahead! We are making a number of changes to the program. More info, including update May 22, at  http://abyc.on.ca/racing/regattas/

Club racing on Tuesdays and Thursdays is ON.

The Commodore’s Ball is going ahead as scheduled. Check back Thursday May 25 for a decision on Sailpast.

Decision pending on the New Boat Owners Party.

The May cruises to Lakeshore Yacht Club and Etobicoke Yacht Club are CANCELLED. A decision will be made about the June cruises two weeks prior to the scheduled cruise.
Many clubs have closed their docks to visiting boats due to the high water levels. To find out if a club is ‘closed’ or ‘open’, please follow this LOCCA link.
If the club you wish to visit is not on the list, you should call in advance to find out their status. Find the list of reciprocal clubs with contact information in the cruising section of the club’s website.
