Ashbridge’s Bay Yacht Club is a vibrant sailing and social community that awaits you in an urban oasis in a sheltered bay of Lake Ontario. Near the Beach area of Toronto just east of (and minutes away from) downtown, we are easily accessible by car and TTC. Join us and ‘be at home on the water’ or in our spacious facilities in a park-like setting, where we offer sailors of all ages and experience and their families a range of year-round sailing and social membership activities and services.
At ABYC you can select the perfect program to suit your personal interest and experience level. We offer dynamic racing and cruising programs for both boat owners and crew members. Our junior and adult learn-to-sail programs help novices develop skills that will take them to any level, while our adult keel-boat and dinghy co-op programs provide an introduction to sailing independently for members currently without boats.
With its warm, traditional nautical wood interior, our clubhouse provides a relaxed environment where members gather to socialize, work or entertain guests. Our bar and restaurant are open all year round for both casual and fine dining, while a comprehensive series of special events are programmed throughout the year.
But ABYC is not just about sailing and socializing. Our membership represents a community that collaborates to ensure that our 80 year history of growth, development, and outreach continues in the beautiful space that is our home away from home. Each member’s contribution of time and expertise, either in facilities-maintenance projects or planning and committee work, is the foundation of the club’s future and the development of life long friendships.
Every spring we have an open house to introduce to our Club those people who are not yet familiar with it (roll your mouse over Home in the menu above and click on Open House for date and time). However, you don’t have to attend this annual open house to get information. Just call our office at 416-698-4498.
